Convenient On-Site Breakfast, Dinner & Snacks
When traveling around California’s Central Coast, convenience is often top of mind after a busy day of sightseeing or driving.
During my recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott San Luis Obispo, having accessible on-site food options right off the main lobby made keeping fed super simple without having to head back out into town.
☕ Early Morning Bistro Breakfast
On weekdays, the Bistro breakfast area is open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Weekend hours are longer to give guests more time.
This generous time window works exceptionally well whether you need an early start for work or prefer a relaxed morning on vacation.
It can get a bit crowded during peak morning hours, but getting your meal packaged to go is an option, which is exactly what I chose to do!
Breakfast is included with select room packages.
If your booking includes it, there are currently two choices:
- Hot Breakfast Option: A cooked-to-order breakfast featuring eggs.
- Continental Option: Your choice of two continental items (such as fresh fruit, yogurt cups, or a toasted bagel).
Both meal package choices include a beverage.
On my first morning, I opted for the continental route with a fruit and yogurt cup paired with a toasted bagel, alongside a small Starbucks hot coffee.
On day two, I enjoyed the cooked egg breakfast.
For anyone traveling without a package or wanting extra items, additional meals and à la carte dishes are readily available for purchase.
🥗 The Bistro Bar & Evening Dining
Located on the main floor near the reception desk, The Bistro shifts to evening service from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM weekdays, offering both drinks and dinner options.
The space is versatile and casual: you can pull up a seat at the bar, relax in one of the comfy lobby armchairs, or take your meal back up to your room.
During my visit, sports were playing on the bar TV, and there was always plenty of open seating available whenever I passed through the lobby area.
While the menu is small, it provides a nice variety of simple choices.
One evening, I ordered a fresh salad packed to go to enjoy back in my hotel room.
It was tasty and incredibly convenient after a long day out.
🍿 24/7 Grab-and-Go Convenience Store
Right near the check-in desk, the hotel features a small market stocked with pantry staples, snacks, cold beverages, and microwaveable meals.
Having these quick options available right on-site is a wonderful backup for late arrivals or quick midday cravings.
💡 Helpful Tips for Your Stay:
- Beat the Morning Rush: If the breakfast seating area feels busy, ask for your breakfast order to go and enjoy it in your room or on the outdoor patio.
- Late Night Convenience: With evening service running until 10:00 PM, you don’t have to worry if you arrive back at the hotel after local restaurant kitchens have closed.
