There is a brand new Stonefire Grill in Lakewood! I have eaten at their Irvine and Fountain Valley locations and was more than happy to enjoy a meal at this new one. The building was formerly a bank. The outside has a retro feel. The inside is clean and modern. They really did a fantastic job transforming the space.
Stonefire Grill is a fast casual restaurant, so you’ll order at the front before sitting down. Once you’re seated, you’ll forget that it’s fast casual. The service is excellent and the servers were more attentive than they often are at full service restaurants.
They have ribs, tri-tip, chicken and seafood for those of you who eat meat. They also have a fantastic assortment of vegetarian and vegan options. You can order an individual meal, if you’d like. But the food is really best when eaten family style. There are some special deals on family meals or you can just order whatever individual items you’d like, which is what we did.
Whatever you decide on, it’ll be obvious that they use fresh ingredients. The salads and pizza are fantastic. The macaroni and cheese is very cheesy. Our favorite dish was the whole roasted cauliflower with a lemon tahini – exquisite! Bread sticks are a must, and you’ll either want to save room for dessert or order a generous slice of carrot cake to go.
