Pour d’Vino Wine Bar
When you visit Lancaster, you can enjoy food and drink at Pour d’Vino on The BLVD.
A few years ago, a mother son duo had the idea that a wine bar would be a good addition to downtown Lancaster. The area had never had a wine bar before, but was just beginning to undergo revitalization.
It turns out that their idea was an excellent one. The BLVD has taken off as a hub for the arts and entertainment and Pour d’Vino is a popular spot.
Pour d’Vino serves wine by the glass and by the bottle. The selection is excellent and staff can assist with recommendations.
If you are heading to the movie theater across the street, you can purchase a bottle to go to enjoy while you watch your movie.
The food menus for lunch, dinner and happy hour are designed to pair well with their wine offerings. My group started out with a cheese board, artichoke dip and salads.
For my entree, I had the vegetarian Porcini Sachets – pasta purses with porcini mushrooms inside. I chose roasted carrots and garlic sauteed spinach for my side dishes. Everything was delicious.
We also ordered desserts to share. Creme Brulee is the specialty of the house and it was very good.
However, chocolate is generally my first choice for dessert and their decadent Chocolate Indulgence was amazing.
Reservations are recommended. It was raining the night I was there, but it was still very busy. Service was good, even with the crowd.
When the weather is better, they open up their rooftop balcony.
They typically have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The band was excellent when I was there.
They also have other special events including food & wine pairing classes, craft nights and tastings.
As a mother of sons, I was happy to learn about this family business partnership.
Mother and son each have their own areas of expertise and have created a wonderful place for the community and visitors to the area to come together.
I’m hoping for a clear night the next time I visit Lancaster, so I can sit fireside on the rooftop patio.
