Belgian Style Leeks, Kapia Peppers, Baby Kiwi, Watermelon Cucumbers

disclosure

I love finding new produce at the market as the seasons change. There sure are a lot more choices now than when I was growing up.

Here are some fun produce items that you may not have seen or eaten before:

1) Sweet Kapia Peppers – similar to a red bell pepper, but the shape makes it look more like a chile.

2) Watermelon Cucumbers – tiny little cucumbers that look like miniature watermelon.

3) Belgian Style Leeks – great for soups

4) Baby Kiwi – smooth skinned, sweet, juicy and oh-so-cute.

Baby Kiwi

The baby kiwi disappeared very quickly here. I’m looking forward to using the others in recipes and will let you know what I come up with!

Have you had any of these before?
