Aren’t these baby kiwi adorable?
Yes, I’m calling fruit adorable.
Baby kiwi have smooth skin and are about the size of a grape. These aren’t just a smaller and younger version of full size kiwi fruit, but they are cousins. The flavor is very similar and these don’t need to be peeled prior to eating them. The seeds have a little bit of crunch, but are not as hard as the ones in a regular kiwi.
Since baby kiwi are so delicate, they have a very short shelf life. You’ll want to either eat them right away or refrigerate them for up to 3 days, but in my house they disappear a lot faster than 3 days.
Baby kiwi can be used in recipes or just eaten right out of the package. They taste great and are full of nutrition. A single serving has 120{4c41c5a6ab44e2224e17847b62ec61552d6cbb33ba429922acdf026e40af1447} of the daily value of vitamin C, 31{4c41c5a6ab44e2224e17847b62ec61552d6cbb33ba429922acdf026e40af1447} fiber and 10{4c41c5a6ab44e2224e17847b62ec61552d6cbb33ba429922acdf026e40af1447} calcium.
