Salad at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant - Orange, California

The Olive Garden is known for their reasonably priced, big meals.

Their new Cucina Mia (my kitchen) special makes dining at Olive Garden even more affordable.

A 3 course meal is just $9.99.

To start there are unlimited bread sticks (of course!) and your choice of soup or a fresh tossed salad.

I always choose the salad.

My family enjoys the soups and tried out several of them.

For the entree you can choose from six different types of pasta including bucatini, cavatappi, paccheri,  tri-color vegetable penne, whole wheat linguine and gluten-free rotini.

There are five different red and white sauces to choose from.

My family chose the roasted garlic alfredo and I opted for the vegetarian creamy sun-dried tomato.

If you’d like to add meat to your pasta, there is a reasonable extra fee.

My sons enjoyed their meatballs.

And, of course, everyone likes to add fresh parmesan.

The third and final course is dessert.

Chocolate Mousse Cake is always a good choice for my family.

We also tried the new Salted Caramel Tiramisu, which was really tasty.

Caramel isn’t usually my first choice, but this was delicious and light, not too sweet.

The Cucina Mia special is a great value and the options make it a great choice for a family lunch or dinner out.
