Brussels sprouts are one of my favorite foods and this is a vegetable I discovered as an adult shopping at farmer’s markets. Pan fried Brussels sprouts are easy and delicious. I like to prepare these in my well-used cast iron skillet.
Fresh sprouts are always my first choice. However, you can use frozen ones that have been thawed, if that it what is available.
This time I used small Brussels sprouts that I cut in half after trimming them. If you have larger ones, I recommend cutting them in bite sized quarters.
My whole family obviously loves them, since they always disappear quickly. They are excellent as a side dish for dinner. If you manage to have leftovers, they can be reheated for lunch the following day.
