Juice makes me happy. I enjoy the process of making it and I enjoy drinking the fruits of my labor. Fresh produce is good by itself, but something magical happens when it’s juiced and mixed together in a tasty blend.
I tend to buy whatever fruits and vegetables are in season and on sale, so my supply changes throughout the year. I’ve been having fun experimenting with whatever fruits and veggies catch my eye. This juice tastes great and is one that I’ll definitely be making again.
Mango Juice
Ingredients:
1 Large Mango
1/2 Lime
1 Cucumber
1 Apple
1 t Ginger Root, peeled
Normally, I juice the entire cucumber including the peel. For this one, I peeled my cucumber so that the dark green peel wouldn’t mess with the pretty mango color. I did the same with the lime. My apple was a golden delicious, so I left the peel on. If you aren’t picky about color, you can include the peel. I’m still at the novice “picky about my juice color” stage, but imagine that I’ll soon go just off of the taste and nutrition instead of the appearance.
I used the coarse screen on my Green Star Elite Jumbo Twin Gear Juicer and got a nice thick juice with texture from the mango.
The juice was refreshing and flavorful!
