Berry Jam Smoothie
for Breakfast or Dessert
This delicious blackberry jam smoothie is a quick and easy treat, whether you are serving it for breakfast, snack or dessert.
It definitely looks like a dessert, when you garnish it with whipped cream.
However, the other ingredients are all things that are typically enjoyed for breakfast – yogurt, banana and fruit jam.
If you have homemade blackberry jam, that would be my first choice for this smoothie.
If not, there are some good fruit forward store bought jams available these days.
This is a sweet smoothie, since it is made with fruit and jam but no other sweetener is added.
I usually use a plain greek yogurt for my smoothies, since I like the creaminess and nutrition.
Feel free to use your favorite kind of yogurt, including one of the good vegan options that are becoming easier to find at the grocery store.
It is super easy to blend up this smoothie in only a few minutes from start to finish, so it is great when you are in a rush.
Enjoy it with or without the decadent whipped cream topping!
